The new innovation provides on-site trash compactions driven by solar power which holds up to 5 times more trash and electronically alerts sanitation units when it becomes full.

On Thursday August 16th, 20 Pine collaborated with Complete Body & Spa, Organic Avenue, Keri Glassman, A Nutritious Life and Lululemon Athletica to hold an ‘Afternoon of Health’ themed open house!

Guests were invited to tour apartment 2406, the newly furnished Armani Casa two bedroom model. Complete Body & Spa gave chair massages while Organic Avenue sampled their famous cleanse juices and Michelle from Keri Glassman, Nutritious Life gave personal nutrition consultations. Guests were treated to healthy snacks and a raffle that included Lululemon gift bags and Complete Body & Spa gift certificates.

On the evening of May 29th, 20 Pine in collaboration with Complete Body held an open house cocktail soiree for over 50 guests. Cocktails, a whiskey tasting, and a light dinner were served on the 1,000 sq ft terrace in residence 1909. Guests were also invited to view apartment 2406, the newly furnished Armani Casa two bedroom model apartment , featuring works by 20 Pine resident and celebrity photographer, Stephanie Stylander of SPS Collective. Apartment 1913 with furnishings by Tui Lifestyle was also a featured model apartment on view. Complimentary hair and makeup consultations were provided by Prieto Select along with chair massages by Complete Body & Spa.

When I was very young, I remember learning about vast mountain ranges that existed in what seemed like universes beyond New York City. I would regale myself with images of these towering feats of nature trying to imagine what it was like to come in contact with such powerful natural wonders. I used to think to myself “There is nothing like this here in the city, all we have are buildings.”

It wasn’t until my teens when I lived in New Mexico for a little over a year and more specifically when I got to experience the majesty of Taos that I was able to understand how infinitely small everything seems in comparison to the vastness of the world.

And yet, while I was in school there in Albuquerque, other students would ask me daily to tell them what it was like to live amongst buildings that soared to the sky.

It never occurred to me before that time that the man-made feats of architecture that I viewed on a regular basis were for these students what the images of mountain ranges were to me before I had the experience of seeing mountains with my own eyes.

When I moved back to New York City, I carried that new knowledge with me like a precious gift, tucking it away for safe-keeping.

And it wasn’t until I discovered photography, that I took that knowledge out from where I tucked it away for many years and started to view my own city with new eyes.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t recall the time when I realized that New York City is its own man-made land of enchantment.

After hearing great things about The Growler Bites and Brews, we just had to check it out for ourselves. Though we pretty much love anything that is on Stone Street, there was something different about this place that was drawing us in.

Along with their extensive beer selection and perfectly aged spirits, their brunch menu is pretty incredible. Their ‘Hair of the Dog Brunch’ offers an unlimited ‘build your own’ Bloody Mary Bar – what really stands out about theirs is the Vodka flavors ranging from Chili Pepper, Horseradish or Bacon flavored! To help create a base for this unlimited bar, their brunch offerings include Buttermilk Pancakes, the Growler Burger, Eggs & Dogs, Bone Marrow (paired with smoked sea salt, relish & toast) and even some Matzah Ball Soup!

Whether you decide to sit inside or outside along the cobblestone, the ambiance is the perfect backdrop for all of their offerings.
